Get Involved
One person willing to give time can bring great value to an organization. Many of our partnering local neighborhood coalitions began with an individual or a small group wanting to create change in their community.
The following opportunities are flexible, weekday opportunities. For more information, contact Erika Wilson at 513-751-8000, ext. 10, or send an e-mail to info@drugfreecincinnati.org
- For parents, students and community citizens who would like to become involved in the program-oriented part of the Coalition’s Services, consider volunteering for a task force. Task force membership requires an ongoing commitment and meet quarterly. For more information about task forces, please email Mary Haag, Director of Coalition Strategies, at mhaag@DrugFreeCincinnati.org.
- For parents, students, and community citizens who would like to become involved in their own community, consider working with a local coalition to provide support in their development in areas of planning, finance, project management and communications. For more information on this opportunity please contact Coordinators for Community Capacity Strategies at 513-751-8000.
- We welcome help wih events, conferences, workshops and fairs the Coalition does throughout the year. Help needed includes assembling mailings, staffing a table at health fairs and helping on event day for conferences and workshops.
- Help us to bring in financial support through a fun fundraising event, such as a house party, raffle, a walk-a-thon, bake sale, or other agreed-upon event that you're interested in doing. The development office will assist you with guidance, prize recruitment ideas, and more. This opportunity can be a fun way to complete a student service project for high school and college students!
